TUYOUYOU is a discovery platform that mines historical and traditional medical manuscripts — sources outside the digitised corpus that every other discovery programme draws on — and converts them into testable, IP-triaged drug hypotheses. Tu Youyou's isolation of artemisinin from a fourth-century text, and the Nobel Prize that followed, established that the source is real. TUYOUYOU is the attempt to make that process repeatable rather than singular.
