This IP-NFT represents an IRB-approved, decentralized pediatric research program focused on Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM), a rare pediatric autoimmune disease. The underlying study, conducted by O'Ryan Health Rare Disease Series LLC (CRJDM Cell) and sponsored by Molecule Science Foundation, utilizes single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) of capillary blood samples collected at home via the RedDrop ONE device to generate Immune Avatars from children with and without JDM. The research aims to identify differences in gene expression across JDM disease subtypes (skin-only, muscle-only, and combined), enabling the discovery of molecular signatures and the exploration of therapeutic targets for this rare, difficult-to-diagnose condition in children.
