Project Description
Ah, the holy grail of longevity—combinations that punch above their weight. From what we've seen, calorie restriction paired with rapamycin shows clear synergy, extending postmitotic cell survival in yeast and even human cells far beyond either alone; it's like they complement each other's molecular dances across species. Then there's the trio of rapamycin, acarbose, and phenylbutyrate: in middle-aged mice, this cocktail trimmed body fat, boosted cognition and strength, and slashed age-related lesions in organs like heart and kidney more effectively than any solo act, with effects varying by sex and strain but proving the power of multi-pathway hits. Our own RMR1 work echoes this, blending rapamycin with senolytics and more to reveal interactions that nudge us closer to robust rejuvenation. Bold stuff—funding these combos is key to cracking longevity escape velocity.
